Dr. James Romanelli

Dr. James Romanelli founded North Shore Cosmetic Surgery on Long Island and is a board-certified plastic surgeon with more than 30 years in practice. He is a Clinical Assistant Professor of Surgery at Northwell Health, and he spent 10 years as Chief of Surgery and Chief of Staff at Melville Hospital, part of Northwell Health. He is a member of the American Society for Aesthetic Plastic Surgery, the American Society of Plastic Surgeons and the New York State Plastic Surgery Society, and a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons.

His training began with an undergraduate degree from the University of Notre Dame, followed by a Doctor of Medicine from the State University of New York Downstate Medical Center. He completed a general surgery residency at Staten Island University, specialty training at St. Luke's Episcopal Hospital in Houston, Texas, and plastic and reconstructive surgery training at Baylor College of Medicine. He trained there alongside the inventors of the silicone gel breast implant.

His areas include breast augmentation and breast reduction, breast reconstruction, and complex breast revision, along with mommy makeovers, body contouring, rhinoplasty and facial rejuvenation.
