Dr. Howard G. Milstein

Howard G. Milstein, MD, founded La Jolla Dermatology and Cosmetic Surgery Center. He is board certified in dermatology and treats patients in both medical and cosmetic dermatology. He holds an appointment as Associate Clinical Professor of Dermatology at the University of California, San Diego, where he instructs medical students and dermatology residents. He is a Life member of the American Academy of Dermatology and also belongs to the San Diego Dermatology Society, the San Diego Medical Society, and the American Medical Association. His medical education started with a degree from the University of Minnesota Medical School. He then completed dermatology fellowships at Stanford University and at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota, and worked as a Research Fellow at the Scripps Clinic in La Jolla. His dermatology residency was completed at UCSD. He takes on difficult second opinions, works on diagnoses, and builds organized treatment plans. He develops laser techniques for treating skin and sun aging, and patients travel from around the world to consult him.
