Dr. H (Hashemipour)

Dr. H (Hashemipour) is the clinical acupuncturist at the practice's Manhattan and Westchester clinics and sees patients at both offices by appointment. He holds a Licensed Acupuncturist (LAc) license in New York and a clinical PhD in Oriental medicine covering acupuncture, herbal medicine and tuina from the Beijing University of Chinese Medicine. He is also a member of the NCCAOM Eligibility Committee.

His clinical work includes acupuncture, cupping, moxibustion, tuina, guasha and herbal medicine. He has more than 25 years of clinical practice in Western and oriental medicine and more than 15 years practicing acupuncture, tuina, herbal medicine and holistic modalities in the U.S. and China. He served as a holistic medicine doctor at the 2008 Beijing Olympic Games and at the 2010 Asian Olympic Games in the Olympic village.

He has also taught and held academic posts. He was formerly the Dean of an acupuncture college in New York for several years, teaches integrative medicine to doctorate-level students in the United States and abroad, and is a professor in doctorate programs at Pacific College of Health and Science, formerly PCOM. He is a visiting professor in doctorate programs at AAHW college (AAAOM) and the author of the Chinese Medical Diagnosis textbook, available on Amazon.
