Dr. Gretchen Frieling

Dr. Gretchen Frieling founded GFaceMD and serves as its CEO. She also founded and owns GFace Academy, along with the Soyier Skin Collection and FACEit Virtual/Live.

She is a triple board-certified dermatopathologist who trained at Harvard Medical School and has been on its faculty, including the first-year Histopathology course. Her education includes a Bachelor of Science in Biological Sciences, summa cum laude, from Florida State University, medical school at the University of Florida College of Medicine, anatomic and clinical pathology training at Beth Israel Deaconess Hospital and Harvard Medical School, and a dermatopathology fellowship at the University of Vermont Medical Center.

She works with ultrasound in medical aesthetics, guiding procedures, mapping vascular structures and managing complications. Her work also covers advanced consultation and assessment, global rejuvenation and education on skincare ingredients. She has worked as a global educator and trainer for pharmaceutical companies including GAIN, Galderma, Merz, Skinstylus and Benev, and founded FACEit Live, a global aesthetic symposium on ultrasound and anatomy. She developed a Medical Directorship Program and a Business Mentorship Program for aesthetic injectors, has spoken at national conferences and on national radio, has published in peer-reviewed medical journals, has served as selected editor of medical journals and has authored medical textbook chapters. She has been featured in Yahoo, Oprah Magazine, Elle, Real Self, Bustle, MSN, Shape and NBC News.
