Dr. Greg Pedro

Dr. Greg Pedro is a surgical prosthodontist at the practice, with more than 30 years in dentistry. He focuses on surgical and restorative implant work and takes patients through each step, from digital planning and diagnosis to surgical placement, provisional teeth and final restoration. He graduated from Temple University School of Dentistry in prosthodontics and received full scholarships to Michigan State University and Fordham University. He trained extensively in computer-guided implant surgery as one of the first 30 practitioners to do so, under Dr. Thomas Balshi. He has also completed additional coursework in TMJ diagnosis and treatment. He is a Neocis-certified clinician, the only one on Staten Island, and he is board certified in aesthetic medicine. His other specialties include TMJ and jaw pain, crowns and bridges, veneers, tooth whitening and tooth jewels, as well as aesthetic work such as Emface and skin resurfacing. He uses the Yomi system to plan treatment before surgery, and after each aesthetic treatment he reviews the patient and adjusts the plan using skin analysis data. Patients also receive guidance on oral hygiene and preventive care. He has written a book on TMD and TMJ syndrome, which the practice offers as a TMJ eBook.
