Dr. Gerald Imber

Gerald Imber, M.D., P.C. was founded by Dr. Gerald Imber, a board-certified plastic surgeon who runs a private surgical practice in New York City. He holds a staff position at Weill Cornell Medical Center, works as attending plastic surgeon at The New York-Presbyterian Hospital, and is an assistant clinical professor at Weill-Cornell Medical Center. He has spent more than four decades in facial rejuvenation, focusing on treating and preventing facial aging. His surgical work includes the face, breast, body and nose, along with facial reconstruction following Mohs micrographic surgery. He has performed thousands of facelifts and eyelid operations, including modified male facelifts, and more than 25,000 procedures overall. He created the Limited Incision Facelift, also known as the Short Scar Facelift, helped popularize the S-LIFT, and was an early developer of microsuction for early jowls and the jawline. Fat transfer is a significant part of his rejuvenation work. US News and World Report and Castle Connolly recognize him among the top 1% of plastic surgeons in the United States. He has published scientific papers and several books on anti-aging strategy, including The Youth Corridor and The New Youth Corridor, and wrote Genius on the Edge, a 2010 biography of W.S. Halsted. The Youth Corridor approach is organized into three phases: prevention, maintenance and correction. He founded the Youth Corridor skin care line, lectures often, serves as a visiting professor, advises magazines and appears on national television.
