Dr. George Brennan

Dr. George Brennan practices cosmetic surgery in Newport Beach and oversees the practice's med spa and wellness offerings. He is a diplomate of the American Board of Cosmetic Surgery and a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons. He has more than 40 years of experience in facial, breast and body procedures and has focused his career exclusively on cosmetic surgery since residency. He has authored the textbook Aesthetic Facial Surgery and also writes chapters and articles for surgical texts and journals. He has been quoted on cosmetic surgery topics in the Los Angeles Times, Time and WebMD. His medical education was at Wayne State University and the University of Michigan, followed by an internship at Santa Monica Hospital and a residency at UCLA Medical Center. He served as past president of the American Academy of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery in 1993 and as former president of the Foundation for Cosmetic Surgery, formerly the Foundation for Facial Plastic Surgery. He has sat on the boards of several surgical and cosmetic surgery societies, among them the American Board of Cosmetic Surgery and the American Academy of Cosmetic Surgery, and has served as program director for fellowship-level cosmetic surgery training. In the 1980s he launched meetings in Newport Beach that later grew into the Facial Cosmetic Surgery Symposium. He has taught thousands of doctors worldwide and is listed among Top Physicians by the Consumer Research Council of America. His surgical work centers on a defined set of face, breast and body procedures. He performs both primary and revision rhinoplasty, choosing open or closed techniques by anatomy and goals, and takes a conservative approach when a change could affect breathing or long-term structure. Other areas include facelift, neck lift, eyelid surgery, brow lifts, breast augmentation, lift, reduction and revision, body contouring, and tummy tuck and arm, thigh and lower body lifts.
