Dr. Fred Silvestri founded Perizia Aesthetics in 2018 and is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons. He is certified in general surgery by the American Board of Surgery and held surgical critical care certification from 1992 to 2013. His Florida medical license is listed as active and in good standing. He belongs to the American Academy of Cosmetic Surgery and the World Association of Gluteal Surgeons, and he has been named a Top Doctors Award winner twice since 2020. He earned a chemistry degree from Seton Hall University in 1979 and a medical degree from SUNY Downstate Medical Center in 1983. He trained in general surgery at Staten Island University Hospital from 1984 to 1988, completed a surgical critical care fellowship at North Shore University Hospital in 1992, and a vascular surgery fellowship at Englewood Hospital and Medical Center in 1994. He has been an Assistant Clinical Professor at the Mount Sinai School of Medicine and spent more than 20 years in general, vascular and bariatric surgery. He moved to Florida in 2013 and worked at Jupiter Medical Center, Palm Beach Gardens Hospital and Martin Health through 2022. Since 2022 his practice has centered on liposuction and body sculpting, including Smart Liposuction on the abdomen, flanks, thighs, arms and back. He is listed among injectors with advanced Botox training and has presented research on liposuction alongside weight loss medications to the American Academy of Cosmetic Surgery. He has contributed more than 10 peer-reviewed articles to the Journal of Vascular Surgery. His approach is minimally invasive, aimed at limiting tissue trauma and shortening recovery, with contouring customized to each patient.
