Dr. Evan Goldstein

Dr. Evan Goldstein is the CEO and founder of Bespoke Surgical, where he practices as a proctologist and anal surgeon. He holds an osteopathic doctorate from the University of Medicine and Dentistry, earned in 2002, and completed his general surgery residency at Maimonides Medical Center. His practice centers on anal health, anal restoration and cosmetic anal surgery, and most of his patients identify as LGBTQ+.

For clients who live out of state or overseas, he conducts the first phone consultation, reviewing each person's situation and offering an initial diagnosis. He speaks in plain language and avoids heavy medical jargon. He believes medical providers should understand gender, sex and sexual relationships so that every patient feels heard, and he stresses ongoing reassessment and preventive education because the field changes quickly. He wrote Butt Seriously, a book on anal health and pleasure.
