Dr. Eric Desman

Dr. Eric Desman is a plastic surgeon, certified by two boards, who leads Virginia Center for Plastic Surgery and works as the plastic surgeon at its Alexandria office. He is certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery, a credential he first earned in 1999 and renewed in 2009 and 2019, and he is also board certified in hyperbaric medicine. He serves as medical director of all three INOVA Wound Healing Centers and has privileges at hospitals across Virginia and in Washington, D.C.

He received his undergraduate degree from Duke University in 1986 and graduated from Jefferson Medical College in Philadelphia in 1990. He completed a general surgery residency at Union Memorial Hospital in Baltimore, Maryland, in 1995, then finished plastic surgery training at Albany Medical Center in Albany, New York, in 1997. He then relocated to Roanoke, Virginia, where he joined the largest multi-specialty physician group in the state, and he later practiced plastic surgery in Northern Virginia.

He has more than 25 years of surgical and non-surgical experience and provides the full range of plastic surgery services. He is a nationally recognized injection specialist and a recurring guest surgeon on A New Me Medical Interviews, which airs on CNN, FOX News, Bravo and Discovery Health. He belongs to the American Society of Plastic Surgeons, the Medical Society of Virginia, the National Capital Society of Plastic Surgeons and the Virginia Society of Plastic Surgeons.
