Dr. Emily B. McLaughlin

Dr. McLaughlin owns West Magnolia Plastic Surgery and The Retreat Medical Spa, where she also serves as medical director. She is board certified in both general surgery and plastic surgery. Her practice offers cosmetic and reconstructive surgery, with a particular focus on aesthetic breast and body procedures. She was the first woman to establish a plastic surgery practice in Fort Worth.

She attended medical school at East Tennessee State University, where she was elected to Alpha Omega Alpha. Her general surgery and plastic surgery residencies were completed at the Medical College of Georgia. During an elective research year there, she studied craniofacial growth and development, and she received the Hardesty award from the Plastic Surgery Research Council for presenting that work nationally. Her craniofacial surgery fellowship at Medical City Dallas Hospital centered mainly on pediatric reconstructive surgery. She then remained in Texas to build a general plastic surgery practice.

Procedures offered at the onsite surgery center and med spa include mommy makeovers, breast augmentation, abdominoplasty, facial and neck lifts, blepharoplasty, liposuction, laser skin resurfacing, and Emsculpt muscle-building treatment. She aims to create a comfortable, welcoming environment that helps ease the anxiety many patients feel about surgery.
