Dr. Ekta Sharma

Dr. Ekta Sharma is a board-certified family physician who runs a private practice in Diamond Bar, California. She trained in family medicine at the Family Medicine Residency Program at Hackensack-Mountainside Hospital in New Jersey. While in residency, she was given the Martin Gold, MD Humanitarian Award, presented to a single graduating resident who demonstrates compassion, science and humility. She also won a scholarship for the strongest research project completed during her residency. That project examined how care differs for patients who speak English compared with those who do not. Family medicine is her focus. She follows a patient-centered approach in which care is the benchmark for practice, and she helps patients work through obstacles they meet within the health system.
