About
Dr. Doris shares leadership of La Bella Vida, a medspa, and performs consultations and many of its procedures. She studied medicine at the University of Guadalajara in 1995. She then completed an extra year through Fifth Pathway to enter US residency programs, and finished her Ob/Gyn residency in 2004 at St. Vincent's Hospital in New York, through New York Medical School of Valhalla. At the medspa she provides her own injections, hormone consultations, weight loss management, PRP and skin care planning. She received a 2004 Most Outstanding Laparoscopic Endoscopic Resident award from the JSLS and an Augustin Award that year for patient care and teaching. She also received a patient choice award for 2008-2009 and was selected by colleagues as a Top 2019 OB/GYN in Sarasota. She has taken part in uterine transplant research and has co-authored papers on the subject, including work in sheep and other animal models.
