Dr. Doris Day, MD, FAAD, MA

Dr. Doris Day founded the practice and owns it, and she is a board-certified dermatologist. She is certified by the American Board of Dermatology, is a Fellow of the American Academy of Dermatology, and holds a New York State medical license. She describes her focus as laser, cosmetic, surgical and aesthetic dermatology, with particular work in lasers, injectables, hair restoration, menopause and skin longevity. Her education includes a BA in English from Barnard College, a master's in journalism with a certificate in science writing from New York University, an MD from SUNY Downstate College of Medicine, and a dermatology residency at Cornell University/The New York Hospital, where she was chief resident. She has held the title of Clinical Professor of Dermatology at NYU Grossman School of Medicine since 2024 and has been on the NYU faculty since 1998. Since that same year she has supervised NYU dermatology residents at Bellevue Hospital and leads their injection training. She also teaches other physicians about soft tissue fillers, laser treatments and facial rejuvenation, and she lectures nationally and internationally on lasers and on keeping filler results natural. Her approach starts with assessing the face at rest and in motion, then building a plan that covers skin care, the home routine and in-office treatments. Injections are planned around facial structure, aiming for a rested, natural look. She has said she has been injecting for over 25 years. She served on the board of the American Society for Dermatologic Surgery from 2016 to 2019 and has been on the American Academy of Dermatology Nominating Committee since 2025. She has written four books on skin and aging, including Forget the Facelift, Beyond Beautiful and Rebooting the Biome. She has hosted a skin show on SiriusXM Doctor Radio since 2008, was a regular guest expert on The View from 2010 to 2017, and has appeared on Fox 5's Good Day New York. According to the site, Newsweek with Statista ranked her #3 among cosmetic dermatologists in 2022 and again in 2023, and she has been a Castle Connolly Top Doctor since 2004.
