Dr. Doris Day

Dr. Doris Day is a board-certified dermatologist who founded and owns Day Dermatology & Aesthetics in New York City. She is also a Clinical Professor of Dermatology at NYU Grossman School of Medicine, where she supervises dermatology residents at Bellevue Hospital and leads their injection training. She works as an attending dermatologist at NYU Langone and Bellevue Hospital. Her private practice opened in 1998, and according to the site she has more than 20 years of experience in dermatology. Her work covers laser, cosmetic, surgical and aesthetic dermatology. Her injectable work includes fillers, Sculptra, Radiesse and neuromodulators. She performs every filler, Sculptra and Radiesse injection herself and administers every neuromodulator injection. The site describes her as a master injector with more than 25 years of injecting. She designs every laser and energy-device plan at the practice, including treatments with Fotona and Tixel, a heat-based, non-laser resurfacing method she uses near delicate areas such as the eyes. She has worked with CO2 lasers since her residency, and a resident research project of hers on CO2 treatment of psoriasis won a Greater New York Dermatology Society competition in 1998. The site notes that many women seek her out to restore facial volume during menopause. She helped design the Wrinkle Severity Rating Scale and was first author of a 2004 study validating it. She took part in the US clinical studies for Restylane and is principal investigator on a multicenter study, sponsored by Galderma, on skin response before and after menopause, with no published results yet. She has served on advisory boards and training panels for Allergan, Valeant, Galderma, Merz and others, and she advises skin care and aesthetic companies on products and devices. Between 2016 and 2019 she held a seat on the board of the American Society for Dermatologic Surgery, and she has been on the American Academy of Dermatology Nominating Committee since 2025. The site lists several honors, which are its own claims: Newsweek with Statista ranked her third among America's Best Cosmetic Dermatologists in 2022 and again in 2023; she has been a Castle Connolly Top Doctor since 2004 and entered its Hall of Fame in 2023; and the American Academy of Dermatology gave her a Presidential Citation Award in 2023. NYU gave her an award for Dedication and Excellence in the Teaching of Dermatology. Her SiriusXM Doctor Radio show began in 2008, she was a regular guest expert on The View from 2010 to 2017, and she has appeared on Good Day New York on Fox 5.
