Dr. Deepa Verma

Dr. Deepa Verma holds an MD and founded Synergistiq Integrative Health in 2013, when she moved from conventional patient care into integrative medicine. Her double board certifications are in family medicine and integrative functional medicine. She completed her medical training at Rutgers Medical School, previously called Robert Wood Johnson Medical School, and finished a family medicine residency at Somerset Medical Center, where she was elected chief resident. She previously worked as a primary care physician at Baycare. Outside the clinic she writes books and a blog and appears regularly on television. Her caseload centers on hormone imbalances, thyroid disorders, gut health concerns, adrenal dysfunction, weight gain, chronic fatigue and autoimmune conditions. She pairs conventional medicine with functional testing, hormone therapy, IV therapy and lifestyle guidance, and she designed the wellness services offered at the practice. She teaches a four-pillar model of healthy living that also addresses mind, body and spirit. She takes time with patients, explains test results in detail, and answers questions the same day.
