About
Dr. Dean Kane is a board-certified plastic surgeon with MD and FACS credentials, practicing at the Columbia location. His work there centers on non-surgical rejuvenation of the face and neck, with a focus on injectables and fillers. Previously he ran a plastic surgery practice in Pikesville, which closed in 2023. He received the 2015 Top Doc RealSelf 100 Award for consumer education on cosmetic procedures. His non-surgical work includes Botox, fillers, Sculptra, TCA chemical peels, PDO thread lifts and lipo-contouring. He performs filler treatments for full-face rejuvenation, from the forehead down to the chin, and offers non-surgical rhinoplasty and nose reshaping, including revision of earlier surgical nose work. He selects a specific filler for each patient, uses a blunted cannula to place filler deep along the cheekbone, and uses a cannula to fill hollows under the eyes. For dark hollows under the eyes he uses Radiesse placed deep along the cheekbone. He numbs the lips before injecting and combines Botox with filler to soften lip lines. For brow and forehead concerns, he recommends Botox for a stronger brow lift effect and Dysport for a softer result, often for younger patients. He also uses Daxxify for brow lift effects and wrinkles between the eyebrows, the newest form of Botox. Lines between the brows are treated with Botox and Revance RH2 filler, repeated about every four months. He treats rosacea redness and broken capillaries with a V-Beam laser, offers Levulan photodynamic therapy for sun-damaged skin, and uses a vascular laser for mottled pigment on the neck. He developed the practice's Skin Health program based on the philosophy, techniques and products of Dr. Zein Obagi. The center has also served as a training site where other doctors and nurses learn his injection technique.
