Dr. David Whiteman

Dr. David Whiteman practices cosmetic and reconstructive plastic surgery in Atlanta, where he has worked for three decades. He is double board-certified and co-leads Southern Plastic Surgery alongside Dr. Marc Klein. His caseload spans facial, body and breast procedures, along with nonsurgical injectable treatments. Hospital roles include Chief of Plastic Surgery at Gwinnett Medical Center and Chief of Surgical Services at Gwinnett Medical Center – Duluth. He sits on the board of trustees of the Gwinnett Hospital Authority and serves on the ASAPS National Patient Safety Committee. He belongs to the American Society of Plastic Surgeons and the American Society for Aesthetic Plastic Surgery. Known techniques include ethnic rhinoplasty, minimal-incision endoscopic surgery, and a customizable mommy makeover that can add Scarpa fascia waist enhancement to a tummy tuck. Common procedures are facelifts, breast augmentation and liposuction, and he performs body contouring for men and women, including tummy tuck and post-weight-loss work. He presents on these techniques at conferences and has mentored medical interns at Southern Plastic Surgery. He also owns and runs Laser Lights Cosmetic Laser Center, a medical spa in the Atlanta area.
