Dr. Cynthia Haq MD

Dr. Cynthia Haq MD is a board-certified family physician with about 40 years of experience as a family physician and teacher. She sees patients at Catalina Island Health on a visiting basis for primary care, and she will also work on building collaboration between Catalina Island Health and UC Irvine. Her training was at Indiana University School of Medicine, with her residency at the University of Wisconsin. Her academic career has included medical faculty posts at Dartmouth, Aga Khan University in Pakistan and Makerere University in Uganda, plus work with the World Health Organization in Switzerland. She recently retired as Clinical Professor and Chair of the Department of Family Medicine at the University of California, Irvine.
