About
Dr. Christy Richardson is the dentist who founded Folly Beach Family Dentistry in 2007. She first trained in dental hygiene and earned a certificate in dental assisting before entering dental school. She graduated from West Virginia University School of Dentistry in 2002 with a doctor of dental surgery degree, then completed an advanced general dentistry residency at MUSC in 2003.
Her earlier work includes hygiene and private practice roles, among them time working alongside her father and other general dentists. From 2003 she spent 18 years serving veterans at the Charleston VA.
