Dr. Christopher K. Patronella

Dr. Christopher K. Patronella is a plastic surgeon with board certification and a founding partner at The Aesthetic Center for Plastic Surgery in Houston, where he set up the ACPS SurgiCentre in 1997. Since 2013 he has held a Clinical Professor of Surgery appointment in the plastic surgery division of the University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston. From 2012 to 2013 he was president of the Houston Society of Plastic Surgeons. His education began with a biology degree from Texas A&M University, followed by medical school at the University of Texas Medical School in Galveston. He completed an internship and general surgery residency at the Ochsner Clinic and Medical Foundation in New Orleans, then a plastic and reconstructive surgery fellowship at St. Joseph Hospital in Houston. He has been board certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery since 1992, and was certified by the American Board of Surgery from 1989 to 1999. Further training covers microvascular surgery, endoscopic facial surgery, aesthetic and reconstructive breast surgery, and power assisted and ultrasonic assisted liposuction. His cosmetic work focuses on body contouring, breast surgery and facial surgery, and he developed the True Form Tummy Tuck method. With over 20 years in plastic surgery, he puts patient safety first and tends to recommend procedures he has done routinely over his career. He has presented at national and international surgical meetings, including in Tokyo, Panama, Colombia and Argentina. He is a member of the American Society for Aesthetic Plastic Surgery, the American Society of Plastic Surgeons and the International Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgery, and he is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons and the International College of Surgeons. The practice's website lists several recognitions as its own claims: Newsweek's America's Best Plastic Surgeons lists for 2021 through 2026 in several procedure categories, Best Cosmetic Surgeon in a 2025 Living Magazine West Houston/Memorial reader's choice poll, Male Plastic Surgeon of the Year at the 2018 My Face My Body Awards, the 2015 Fox Award for Best Paper from the Texas Society of Plastic Surgeons, and Texas Monthly's Super Doctors Hall of Fame from 2018 onward.
