About
Dr. Brian Arslanian is the surgeon behind Arslanian Plastic Surgery, holding MD and FACS credentials. He is a double board certified plastic surgeon and a board certified member of the American Board of Surgery, listed as 2014. He specializes in breast surgery, practices both cosmetic and reconstructive plastic surgery, and offers facial rejuvenation procedures. He serves patients from across the Metro Atlanta area.
He earned a Bachelor of Science from the State University of New York at Geneseo and an MD from the University at Buffalo School of Medicine. He completed a general surgery internship and residency at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center, Harvard Medical School, where he served as chief resident. He then completed about three years of plastic and reconstructive surgery training at the Emory University Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery Program. Further study includes the Emory University Microsurgical Skills Course in 2012 and Fundamentals of Laparoscopic Surgery through SAGES in 2011, and he went to meetings from 2013 to 2015, including ASAPS, the Dallas Rhinoplasty Symposium, and the Southeastern and Jurkiewicz Society meetings.
After training he started his own practice. His earlier work includes a medical mission to Kaimosi, Kenya in 2007, a general surgery mission to Cape Coast, Ghana with International Health Care Volunteers in 2011, where he also gave a lecture at Cape Coast Regional Hospital, and a plastic surgery mission to Antigua, Guatemala with Surgicorps International in 2013. He has co-authored publications on microsurgical breast reconstruction, forearm Bier block anesthesia and the management of breast necrosis. He received an Outstanding Resident Teaching Award from Harvard Medical School in 2010, is listed with a top score on the American Board of Surgery Inservice Training Examination in 2009, formed the first Plastic Surgery Interest Group at Beth Israel Deaconess in 2011, was appointed to the ACGME Review Committee for that hospital in 2010, and was appointed to the HealthTap Tech Development Committee in 2015.
