About

Dr. Behrooz Torkian is a nose and facial plastic surgeon with an MD, practicing in Beverly Hills and focused only on the face. He is double board-certified in facial plastic and reconstructive surgery and in otolaryngology-head and neck surgery, and has been licensed by the Medical Board of California since April 2002. He earned a bachelor's degree in microbiology and molecular genetics from UCLA in 1996, graduating with distinction, and a medical doctorate from Vanderbilt University School of Medicine in 2000. Surgical training followed at UC Irvine: a general surgery internship from 2000 to 2001, otolaryngology-head and neck surgery from 2001 to 2005, and facial plastic and reconstructive surgery from 2005 to 2006, including a fellowship in the program, which chose only a small group of fellows. He earned several research awards during residency.

Earlier he was an attending surgeon at the Veterans Affairs Medical Center and Kaiser Permanente in Orange County, where he supervised nose surgery and reconstruction of skin cancer defects. He served as a clinical instructor in the UC Irvine Division of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery and is now an Assistant Clinical Professor there, helping train facial plastic surgeons. He has been guest faculty at UC Irvine rhinoplasty and injectable filler courses, and has published research and given presentations on laser surgery, wound healing and rhinoplasty. He is a member of the American Academy of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery, the American Academy of Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery, and the California Society of Facial Plastic Surgery.

Other roles include medical director at Skinmedix in Hermosa Beach and at Skin By Lovely in Santa Monica, owner of Luxe Aesthetic Center in Yorba Linda, and active at Cedars-Sinai in Los Angeles. He is known for ethnic, revision and male and female rhinoplasty, and is highly trained in injectables such as Radiesse, Voluma and BOTOX. He was named one of Los Angeles' Top Doctors in 2025.
