Dr. Anne Taylor

Dr. Anne Taylor founded Aesthetica Surgery & Spa in Columbus, Ohio, where she works as a board-certified plastic surgeon. She has more than 20 years of plastic surgery experience. Her work spans the breast, body and face, and patients travel to her from Dublin, Mansfield and Springfield.

She received a B.S. in biology, summa cum laude, from Denison University, followed by an M.D. from The Ohio State University, where she completed a residency in general and plastic surgery. At Ohio State she has held faculty appointments as a Clinical Assistant Professor in the Department of Surgery and later as Associate Professor and Director of Aesthetic Surgery in the Department of Plastic Surgery. She has also served as Co-Chair of Admissions at the medical school, as a Visiting Professor for the Plastic Surgery Foundation, and as Chief Medical Editor of Plastic Surgery News. She acted as an adjunct clinical study investigator for Allergan in a nationwide study.

Her breast work includes revision augmentation to address asymmetry, tuberous breasts, capsular contracture, implant malposition and rupture. She was an early adopter of the superior medial pedicle technique for breast reduction, a method meant to protect blood flow to the nipple. For facelifts she uses the SmartLift approach under local anesthesia rather than general anesthesia. Her body procedures include liposuction, tummy tucks and body lifts after weight loss, which can combine arm lifts, buttock lifts and tummy tucks. Her focus areas are breast augmentation, facelifts and body contouring.

She serves as Vice President of Advocacy for the American Society of Plastic Surgeons and sits on its Board of Directors. She is a past ASPS delegate to the American Medical Association and a past president of the Ohio Valley Society of Plastic Surgeons and the Columbus Medical Association. She founded the Columbus Society of Plastic Surgeons and is a member of the American Society of Plastic Surgeons, The Aesthetic Society and the American Association of Plastic Surgeons. She lectures often on cosmetic surgery best practices, hosts pre-med and medical students during surgical rotations, and is a sought-after symposium speaker. She received the ASERF Congenital Breast Deformity Award and an ASAPS Aesthetic Surgery Fellowship grant.
