Dr. Andrew Lyos

Dr. Andrew Lyos is the physician and owner of MD Aesthetica. He has more than 20 years of experience as a plastic surgeon in Houston and The Woodlands, and he launched his aesthetic practice in 1994, starting with one of Houston's first non-invasive divisions. He practices cosmetic and reconstructive plastic surgery, performs surgical body contouring, and offers surgical options alongside the non-invasive and minimally invasive treatments.

He earned a Bachelor of Science from the University of Michigan in 1983 and an M.D. from the same university in 1987, with honors. His training at Baylor College of Medicine covered general surgery, otorhinolaryngology and head and neck surgery, and plastic surgery. He is triple board certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery, the American Board of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery, and the American Board of Otolaryngology, Head and Neck Surgery. He holds an appointment as Clinical Assistant Professor at Baylor College of Medicine in the plastic surgery and otolaryngology departments, in the Division of Facial Plastic Surgery.

He serves on the editorial board of two peer-reviewed plastic surgery journals, Plastic Surgery Outlook and Perspectives in Plastic Surgery, and takes part in aesthetic surgery symposia and seminars held around the world. He holds memberships in several medical and plastic surgery societies, including the American Society of Plastic Surgeons, the American Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgery and the International Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgery.
