Dr. Amber L. Allen

Dr. Amber L. Allen is a board-certified cosmetic surgeon with Southern Surgical Arts, seeing patients at the Chattanooga, Tennessee location. She has over 15 years of experience in cosmetic and aesthetic surgery, including more than a decade in private practice before she moved into cosmetic surgery fellowship training. She holds a physician license in North Carolina and Ohio. She earned a Bachelor of Science in Biology and Pre-Medicine at Avila College in Kansas City, Missouri, and a Doctor of Medicine from the University of Tennessee College of Medicine in Memphis. She trained in general surgery at UNC Chapel Hill, completed an AACS accredited cosmetic surgery fellowship at Mandell-Brown Plastic Surgery Center in Cincinnati, Ohio, under Dr. Mark Mandell-Brown, and finished a minimally invasive surgery fellowship at the University of Kentucky in Lexington. She is a Diplomate of the American Board of Surgery and a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons and the American Academy of Cosmetic Surgery. Her work focuses on body contouring and liposculpture, breast enhancement and reduction, fat transfer, facial rejuvenation and restoration, and minimally invasive aesthetic techniques. She has presented and co-taught at national scientific meetings, including a facial fat grafting workshop at an American Academy of Cosmetic Surgery pre-conference, and has given talks on patient selection in cosmetic surgery and hernia repair during abdominoplasty at AACS Annual Scientific Meetings. She sees cosmetic surgery as a blend of science and art.
