Dr. Akash Chandawarkar

Dr. Akash Chandawarkar is a board certified plastic surgeon, certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery, and the founder of Mirror Plastic Surgery. His work spans reconstructive and aesthetic surgery, with listed skills in facial surgery, body procedures, injectables and nonsurgical rejuvenation, and male aesthetic treatments.

His training includes an M.D. cum laude from Harvard Medical School and an S.B. in Neuroscience & Nuclear Engineering from MIT. He completed a seven-year plastic and reconstructive surgery residency through Johns Hopkins and the University of Maryland, was a Biodesign Innovation Fellow at Stanford University, and completed an aesthetic surgery fellowship at MEETH / Lenox Hill in New York City, endorsed by the Aesthetic Society.

Professionally, he has served on the editorial board of Aesthetic Surgery Journal, published in plastic surgery journals and textbooks, testified to the FDA on breast implant safety, and been quoted as an expert in The New York Times.
