Dorothy Mitchell

Dorothy Mitchell founded Laser Skin Care Solutions and is its owner. A registered nurse, she holds an MS in Nursing from the University of Colorado and an MBA in Health Care Management from Boston University. Earlier in her career she worked within large health systems, among them Children's Hospital, BWH, BMC and Mt. Sinai. At Candela Corporation she served as Clinical Education Director, designing and running laser courses for doctors and their clinical teams. She has taught nursing at UMass, Mass Bay Community College, Downstate Medical Center, Cornell, Hunter College and MGH Institute of Health Professions. She also trains providers in lasers and injectables, and has testified before the Massachusetts Board of Registration in Nursing on aesthetic nursing practice. Her patient work includes thousands treated with neurotoxins, fillers, Kybella and Sculptra, plus other procedures. Working alongside plastic surgeon Dr. Richard Peinert, she helps keep care within high safety standards, and with hair removal clients she assesses the concern and recommends a laser plan that fits.
