Diane Steinmetz

Diane Steinmetz is the owner of DS Cosmetics, where she works as a makeup artist and brow specialist. Her academic path runs through art: she holds a BS in art education from Northern Illinois University and an MA in art therapy from the University of Illinois Chicago. For several years she worked as an art therapist at the children's hospital of the University of Chicago. Later she and a business partner set up an art consultation firm that, across a decade, supplied artwork to corporate offices, law firms and hospitals. She eventually sold her stake in that firm and spent time teaching preschool. Following makeup school, she founded DS Cosmetics a few years afterward. Her core offerings are brow shaping, plus everyday makeup lessons and makeup for special events and headshots.
