Destiny Preston founded Elysian Rose and owns the studio, where she also works as the practitioner. She has 17 years of experience in the high-end beauty industry, combining integrative wellness services with clinical aesthetics. She holds degrees from UC Berkeley, including a BA and a BS, and a Master of Urban and Regional Planning in environmental analysis and policy from UCLA. She is a California licensed cosmetologist and a California certified massage therapist.
Her training is broad. She completed a 1600-hour cosmetology program at Santa Monica College and holds an 800-hour Massage Therapist and Holistic Health Educator certification from the National Holistic Institute, on top of more than 1400 hours of massage therapy training. For lymphatic work she is certified in the Dr. Vodder method through Klose Training, including a 45-hour manual lymphatic drainage certification and a 135-hour lymphedema therapist certification. Her craniosacral training at the Upledger Institute covers levels 1 and 2, somato-emotional release, and pediatric and prenatal work, totaling 192 hours. She is also certified in Structural Face Lifting Massage, the Dr. Schrammek Green Peel Method and dermaplaning, and is a registered yoga teacher.
