Deena Von Yokes

Deena Von Yokes founded Studio Savvy Salon and owns it. She started cutting, styling and coloring hair in her mother's salon as a teenager, at age 17, and later trained as an understudy under leading industry professionals. She works as a Master Hair Stylist and Master Hair Colorist and holds Redken credentials as a Certified Redken Stylist, Redken Artist and Redken Haircolor Authority Certified, along with Framesi credentials as a Framesi Technician and Certified Educator. She also founded Von Savvy Academy for Advanced Hair Style & Color, where she teaches advanced education. Her creative work extends to fashion, where she has worked as a fashion consultant, designer and creative director for major fashion events and editorial shoots. She directed the Opening Day Hats Contest at the Del Mar Races for the Del Mar Thoroughbred Club. She received Ranch & Coast Magazine Readers Choice Awards in 2013, 2014 and 2015, was named Hairstylist of the Year in 2016, and was featured as an Editors Pick and among Women To Watch of San Diego. She also has Ranch & Coast Portraits of Excellence in 2016 and 2017 and San Diego's Best Dressed in 2016. Clients who prefer classic styles and clients who want avant-garde trends both seek her out. She is known for color, cuts and current trends, and has been training people for years and has worked in fashion shows, local events and teaching.
