Deborah Knight

Deborah Knight is the owner hairstylist at this San Diego salon and works alone, with no assistants. She has more than 30 years of experience as a hairstylist, beginning with apprenticeships at two salons in La Jolla. She then spent three years alongside an image consultant learning to match color and style to each client. Some clients have been returning to her for over 25 years. Her training covers cutting, styling, coloring, balayage, curly hair cutting, design and finishing, and the science of hair. Programs include Ted Gibson in Las Vegas and Long Beach, Toni & Guy in Dallas, Vidal Sassoon in San Francisco and Los Angeles, Paul Mitchell and Alan Bush in San Diego, Framesi in Florence and San Diego, Kemon in Umbria, and Hikari in Tokyo and the USA. She has also been an educator for the ABBA Design Team, IBS, Framesi, and HED, and is a lifelong student of hair color chemistry. She works with each client one-on-one, matching color to skin tone and shaping style around facial features and lifestyle. She prefers to stay quiet during a cut so she can focus on it.
