About
Debbie Miller founded Newport Permanent Makeup, where she serves as founder, director and practitioner. She has spent more than 23 years on cosmetic and para-medical tattooing alone, and has over 40 years of combined experience in the medical and aesthetic fields. Her work includes thousands of procedures on many areas of the body, for both men and women. Her cosmetology career started when she was nearly thirty, working as a professional makeup artist and wedding makeup specialist. She owned and ran the artistic side of Salon Lido in Newport Beach and previously owned Salon Lido Weddings, where she worked as a bridal makeup specialist. After selling the salon, she moved into full-time cosmetic and medical tattooing. She learned permanent makeup from several trainers and through group classes over roughly four years. She completed the Daria Chuprys Eyebrow Microstroking course and has further eyebrow technique training from the Society of Permanent Cosmetic Professionals, where she is a past elected Director of Communications and now sits on the board. The Society gave her an award for written contributions to industry publications. She is a recognized industry author, speaker and teacher. Earlier roles included color educator for an international color company, and a position in which she directed permanent makeup training and designed curricula for the American Institute of Education. On television she has appeared as an industry expert on The Doctors, been featured on Access Women, and done camouflage makeup work for The Swan. Her articles have run in OC Health Magazine. Her main focus is permanent makeup for eyebrows, eyeliner and lip color, areola restoration, scar camouflage and para-medical tattooing. She works with breast cancer patients seeking areola and nipple restoration after mastectomy and reconstruction. She has worked with nearly every skin type, ethnicity and level of case complexity. She aims for natural-looking daytime makeup, camouflage of imperfections, and support for people recovering from trauma, injury or illness. Her credentials include the Certified Permanent Cosmetic Professional (CPCP) credential as a Certified Permanent Makeup Professional, and multi-course certification in areola restoration, permanent camouflage and color. She is a Certified Master Trainer of Advanced Permanent Makeup Procedures, a Certified Trainer of Digital Permanent Makeup Equipment and Technique, and a Certified ProCell Partner and Practitioner. She holds an OSHA Blood Borne Pathogens certification and an Emergency Medical Technician certification, and is a California Licensed Cosmetologist and California Licensed Aesthetician. She is registered, licensed and compliant with the Orange County Board of Health.
