David J Goldberg, MD, JD

David J Goldberg, MD, JD serves as Director of Cosmetic Dermatology and Clinical Research at the practice. He has practiced since 1985 and is board certified in dermatology. His clinical work focuses on lasers, cosmetic dermatology and non-invasive facial and body rejuvenation. He received his medical degree from Yale University and completed a dermatology residency and dermatologic surgery fellowship at New York University Medical Center. He is a clinical professor and former director of Mohs Surgery and Laser Research in the dermatology department at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai. He has more than 160 academic papers to his name and has contributed to more than 15 academic textbooks. He has written books on laser dermatology, laser hair removal, acne, rosacea and cellulite, and he co-wrote two consumer titles, Light Years Younger and Secrets of Great Skin. He has treated patients and taught physicians overseas in laser and cosmetic technologies. He was elected president of the American Society for Lasers in Medicine & Surgery. He has chaired ethics committees for the American Academy of Dermatology, the American Society for Lasers in Medicine and Surgery, and the American Society for Dermatologic Surgery, and has sat on the boards of several dermatology and laser surgery societies, including the American Academy of Dermatology. He also served as co-vice-president of the Skin Cancer Foundation. According to the site, he was the first recipient of the Leon Goldman award, was named one of the Top Ten Laser Surgeons in the U.S. by Self magazine, and has been named to Best Doctors lists, including Best Doctors in America and Best Dermatologists in New Jersey by New Jersey Monthly.
