David Gerth

David Gerth is a plastic surgeon at the Coral Gables office. He is triple board-certified, with certifications from the American Board of Plastic Surgery and the American Board of Otolaryngology Head and Neck Surgery. He is recognized for advanced facial rejuvenation techniques. He completed accredited training programs in otolaryngology (head and neck surgery) and plastic surgery, both recognized by the American Board of Medical Specialties. That training covered microsurgery, breast reconstruction, lower extremity reconstruction, craniofacial surgery and facial plastics. He went to medical school at the University of Tennessee Health Science Center in Memphis, and he also studied genetics toward a B.S. at the University of Georgia in Athens. He has also studied extensively under leading cosmetic surgery experts. He has helped hundreds of patients improve their quality of life through plastic surgery. His practice centers on cosmetic facial surgery and complex breast surgery, with facial rejuvenation and advanced breast procedures as his preferred work. He is especially experienced with complex face and neck cases, including the neck lift and the deep plane facelift. He has performed the deep plane facelift for more than 13 years and has adapted it with his own modifications. He also treats complex chest cases such as gynecomastia, and he performs all injectables himself. A facelift may be combined with Botox Cosmetic and other non-surgical treatments. He stays involved from consultation through the one-year postoperative visit or beyond, and deep plane facelift patients are seen at regular intervals during recovery until fully healed.
