David Garvin

David Garvin owns Salon David J, where he is the only stylist. He brings more than 21 years of work with natural, curly and textured hair, including Type 3 and Type 4 textures. His training covered natural, curly and coily hair from the beginning of his career, and he has also worked on platform at Bronner Brothers shows.

For him, textured hair sits at the center of the practice instead of being an add-on. He works on silk presses and curl-focused cutting, colour for textured hair, protective styling, and upkeep aimed at keeping hair healthy. He tends to give clients straightforward guidance about what their hair needs and how to look after it between appointments.
