About

David Armendariz owns Studio A Salon and works there as a colorist and stylist. He earned a degree in Music and Dance from the University of Houston in 2003, then spent ten years dancing professionally in Houston, Denver and Las Vegas before becoming a hairstylist.

He is known for bridal up-dos and special-occasion hairstyles, and he is the salon's hair extension specialist, working with Hotheads extensions. He has worked as a platform artist for Hotheads Hair Extensions and serves as a National Educator for Kérastase Paris and Shu Uemura. Allure Magazine has called him a Color Wizard. His fashion show credits include Tootsies, Houston Brides, Mia Bridal and Ivory Bridal. He has appeared regularly on ABC's Mirror Mirror, CBS's Great Day Houston and CW 39's Newsfix. He continues his training through classes with Vidal Sassoon and L'Oréal Professional.
