David A owns david A. Hair in Solon and works there as its stylist. He trained at Skelly Beauty Academy, starting in 1995, and became a licensed cosmetologist after passing the state board exam. His career began at Dino Palmeiri, where he started as a shampoo assistant and learned to cut hair, later moving to the Summit Mall location in Akron. Further cutting training came from master-cutting technique classes taken while working under Donna-Marie Kaminsky at Dino Palmeiri. He is also self-taught through DVDs and online resources. Later positions include several years at Funke & Co on Chagrin Blvd in Beachwood, a stint at Wyred About Hair before he returned there, and five years at Hair Loft at the Hamptons. He keeps up with current hair trends and works them into his personal work.
