Daniel Valdes, O.D.

Daniel Valdes is Assistant Director of Optometry at Arizona Eye Institute & Cosmetic Laser Center. He is a medical optometrist focused on managing ocular diseases, emergencies and infections, and he has more than two decades of experience in routine eye care and in treating advanced eye diseases such as macular degeneration and glaucoma. The practice describes him as a highly respected medical optometrist. He oversees dry eye treatment at the Sun City office.

His education started with a Bachelor of Science in Microbiology and Immunology from the University of Miami, where he studied AIDS-related cytomegalovirus, and an Associate in Science from the University of Michigan. He earned his Doctor of Optometry from Nova Southeastern University, graduating cum laude with honors, and then completed a residency at the University of Miami School of Medicine's Bascom Palmer Eye Institute. He is also certified in the FDA-approved medical myopia program using MiSight contact lenses. He has worked closely with leading refractive surgeons and on laser-assisted cataract surgery with premium intraocular lenses. He was named Doctor of the Year in 2007 and 2010 by the American Association of Corporate Optometrists.

He sees patients at the Wickenburg office for eye exams as well as general and cosmetic care appointments, and he often can see patients for same-day exams.
