Dana Thomases

Dana Thomases is owner of Beauty Muse, where she serves as master clinical esthetician and makeup artist. Following her studies at Boston University, she relocated to New York City and built a career as a makeup and brow artist working with salons and photographers. Her credentials include an esthetics license from Atelier Esthetique in Manhattan, coursework on conditions like acne and rosacea at the International Dermal Institute, and completion of the Pastiche Method Advanced Skin Analysis training.

For roughly two decades she has worked and trained alongside skin care companies, estheticians and chemists. She now educates and consults on products for skin care brands. Her approach treats skin health and skin conditions as the foundation for makeup and beauty outcomes. Eyebrow shaping and sculpting are her specialty. She also trains the makeup artists on the Beauty Muse team.

She has done work for fashion designers, celebrities and Olympians, and has appeared in press outlets including Allure, ELLE, InStyle, Lucky, BRIDES, Sports Illustrated, Boston Magazine, The Boston Globe and others. She joined the staff of skin care professional Brad Duncan. As of 2011 she had about a decade of brow-refining experience. She has styled eyebrows for Ivana Trump and Bethenny Frankel.
