About
Dan Williams is a partner colorist at Sola Salons in Brooklyn and works as a celebrity hairstylist. He started professional beauty work in 2014 in Allentown, Pennsylvania, spent seven years there, and moved to New York City in April 2021. He is a partner of the haircare brand amika and has also worked with R+Co, R+Co Bleu and Bumble & Bumble.
He went to a local beauty school after finishing high school in 2012 and has taken education from Matrix, Redken, Wella, Goldwell and Oribe. In 2023 he was mentored by editorial and runway hairstylist Ruben Colon, learning backstage technique and etiquette. That same year he worked at a makeup counter while refining his hair and makeup skills.
His backstage work began in mid 2022 on fashion shows for FIT, BAPE, Maria McManus and Anna Bolina. He has worked with designers including Oscar de la Renta, Maria McManus, Anna Bolina and Pipenco. His client work includes celebrity and editorial clients, runway and cover shoots. Magazines including Allure, Bustle, Glamour and SELF have covered his work.
