About
Dan runs Visual Grammar, an independent studio set up as a space to practice hair design on his own terms. His work centers on color, including the chemistry behind it, as well as cut shape and the way light and shadow affect how a finished look reads.
He trained at a cosmetology school, where he earned an Associate Degree in Specialized Technology in Cosmetology and was recognized for exceptional academic achievement. He holds a cosmetology teaching license and has taught in cosmetology education while also working as a stylist.
After several years working behind the chair, he stepped back from hair as his main profession, and he later returned to it.
