D.J. Verret, MD, FACS

Dr. D.J. Verret, MD, FACS, practices facial plastic surgery at Innovations Facial Plastic Surgery in Plano and is double board certified by the American Board of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery and the American Board of Otolaryngology Head and Neck Surgery. He has completed recertification with both boards and continues yearly education. His practice is limited to head and neck surgery.

He holds a bachelor's degree in biomedical engineering with honors from Tulane University. He trained at UT Southwestern Medical School in Dallas for his medical degree and residency, then finished a one-year facial plastic surgery fellowship, one of 38 awarded nationwide through the American Academy of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery. He is also certified in advanced cardiac life support. He is an Assistant Clinical Professor at UT Southwestern, where he teaches regularly, and a fellowship instructor for the AAFPRS National Fellowship Program. He is a former Chief of Staff at Baylor Centennial Hospital and a former President of the Collin-Fannin County Medical Society.

He has been asked to lecture at facial plastic surgery meetings in the United States and abroad. His publications include more than 20 peer-reviewed articles, two patient education books and four academic book chapters. He has been interviewed by ABC, NBC, Fox and CBS affiliates and quoted in national print outlets. He has been named to D Magazine's Best Doctors for more than ten years and to Castle Connolly's Best Doctors.

Follicular unit grafting is the core of his hair restoration work, and he also performs rhinoplasty and non-surgical rhinoplasty. He conducts every consultation himself, with no salespeople or consultants involved, and presents all rejuvenation options to each patient. He personally performs all facial filler injections and guides patients through the surgical process step by step. He keeps current by attending local, national and international meetings.
