Craig Singer MD

Craig Singer, MD, is a board-certified dermatologist who founded Acne Center of Michigan and sees patients at a practice in Bingham Farms. He specializes in acne and acne scarring and has helped thousands of patients. Physicians, including other dermatologists, send him their hard-to-treat acne scar cases. He treats patients of every age. His acne scar training includes advanced reconstruction work with Dr. Peter Rullan on the acne scar trio approach, plus several sessions in Salt Lake City with Dr. Mark Taylor focused on acne scar surgery. Those sessions covered Taylor Liberator subcision, fine-focused laser resurfacing, full-ablation laser work, combined fractional CO2 and erbium laser treatment, and punch excision. He also completed advanced chemical peel instruction with Dr. Harold Brody and Dr. Carlos Wambier, spanning medium-depth peels, TCA CROSS, carbolic CROSS and Hetter peeling. Memberships include the Acne and Rosacea Society and the International Peeling Society, and he serves on the board of the American Board of Physician Specialties, Dermatology, where he is a former president. When treating scars, he assesses each type and matches it to a suited technique. He believes acne scars seldom respond to one procedure, so treatment plans often pair subcision, CROSS, punch excision, laser resurfacing and chemical peeling. For active acne, he uses AviClear, Fotona and KTP lasers, photodynamic light therapy and medical-grade peels to target oil, bacteria and inflammation, and to soften the marks left after breakouts.
