Craig Helmuth

Craig Helmuth is a colorist at Robert Leonard Salon & Day Spa, where he also works as an educator and has been part of the salon's training. He began his career as a colorist in Spokane more than 30 years ago, training in two salons there before moving to Seattle.

His color work includes redheads, where he aims for dimension and tone suited to each client's skin, as well as brunettes and blondes. He has a background in foil work with all types of color and in balayage. The salon describes him as an expert at color formulation.

He has taken courses in New York City and Los Angeles and has worked as a trainer for a color manufacturer. He has also worked on many fashion shows and photo shoots, and the salon says Town & Country magazine wrote him up as a blonding specialist.
