Courtney Busby

Courtney Busby works as a Licensed Stylist at the Boardwalk location and has been licensed since 2007. Color work is central, with specialties in color correction, unique color and foil applications, and ammonia-free color. Courtney also holds certification as a L'Oréal Professionnel Educator and Color Specialist.

Training started with hands-on work at the L'Oréal Professionnel Academy in SoHo, followed by a yearlong internship with Aveda under two Master Stylists. Later Aveda training was advanced, and Courtney was formerly an Aveda Salon Mentor. Hands-on sessions with Aveda's Kurt Kueffner and Dusty Rhoades covered customizing men's cuts. Courses include Jo Blackwell's Fixing Unnatural Disasters and workshops in up-styling and special occasions, on top of about seven years of continued education.

Bridal and up-styling, on-site weddings, photo shoots and runway work are among the specialties. Custom cuts are offered for men and women of any texture, along with L'Oréal Professionnel treatments. L'Oréal Professionnel Serie Expert, Texture Expert, L'Oréal Homme and Deva Curl products are sold, and wine or cold beer is offered during appointments.
