Chynna Steele Johnson

Dr. Chynna Steele Johnson is a board-certified dermatologist and the founder of Steele Dermatology, which she started in 2015. She works at both the Buckhead and Alpharetta offices and practices medical and cosmetic dermatology, with listed specialties that also include cosmetic surgery and aesthetic services. She holds the credentials MD and FAAD and serves patients in Atlanta, Alpharetta and Johns Creek. The practice describes her as nationally renowned and says she contributes expertise to publications and TV shows, including Best Self, WebMD, Ebony and CBS Atlanta.

Her training includes a dermatology residency at Washington University School of Medicine and BJC Hospitals in St. Louis, an internship in internal medicine at Cabrini Medical Center, Mount Sinai School of Medicine in New York, and a Doctor of Medicine from the University of Chicago Pritzker School of Medicine. She earned a bachelor's degree in psychology from Harvard University.

Her clinical focus includes eczema, including atopic dermatitis, contact dermatitis, dyshidrotic eczema, nummular eczema and seborrheic dermatitis; hair loss evaluation for many types of alopecia; skin cancer evaluation, including melanoma and biopsy when needed; and melasma and other pigmentation concerns. She performs in-office skin excisions to remove certain skin cancers and other lesions. She believes skin, hair and body health matter to cosmetic results. Her memberships include the American Academy of Dermatology, the Atlanta Association for Dermatology and Dermatologic Surgery, the American Society for Dermatologic Surgery, the Women's Dermatologic Society and the Atlanta Women's Journal Club.
