Christopher Rutman

Christopher Rutman owns Premium Hairdressing by Christopher Rutman and works as a hair extension specialist focused on keratin-tip extensions, which he has offered since 2002. He holds a California cosmetology license earned in 1995 and brings thirty years of hairdressing experience to the chair. He learned precision cutting while apprenticing with a hairdresser from the first class of the Vidal Sassoon Academy in Los Angeles. He also spent four months with an Austrian salon owner who ran a chain, learning styling and salon management. He also completed a year-long apprenticeship at the Sebastian International Centre Salon in Woodland Hills, working under a member of the Sebastian global artistic team, and attended hands-on seminars at Sebastian International headquarters. He is a certified Great Lengths stylist. From 1999 to 2010 he was a Sebastian International educator, joining the global artistic team in 1999 and teaching seminars, workshops and stage presentations for about eleven years. He taught in more than 75 cities across North America and in cities including Taipei, Seoul, Madrid, Amsterdam, Osaka and Tokyo. He has also traveled to work with extension clients in several cities in the United States and Europe. He sees every client personally, from first consultation to final finish, mixing custom color and fitting each keratin bond to the client's own hair. His clients have included people from New York and other out-of-state locations.
