Christopher Latham

Christopher Latham practices as an oral and maxillofacial surgeon at Oral Facial Surgical Arts. He holds both a DMD and an MD and is licensed in both. He is a diplomate of the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery and a fellow of the American Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery. He moved back to Florida in 2014, after finishing his residency in Minnesota.

He began his studies with a bachelor's degree from the University of Florida, then earned a dental degree from the University of Florida College of Dentistry and an MD from the Mayo Clinic Alix School of Medicine. He also holds a master of public health from the University of South Florida. His six-year oral and maxillofacial surgery residency took place at Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota, and included dentoalveolar surgery, wisdom tooth extraction, the full spectrum of dental implant procedures, orthognathic surgery, office-based anesthesia, bone grafting, facial trauma care, oral and facial pathology, and TMJ treatment. He trained alongside leading head and neck cancer specialists and within a top-ranked anesthesia department.

He is part of the Craniofacial Team at Nemours Children's Hospital in Lake Nona and teaches as an instructor at the UCF College of Medicine. His hospital affiliations are Orlando Health Health Central and Nemours Children's Hospital in Orlando. He belongs to AAOMS, ABOMS, FSOMS, SSOMS, the American Dental Association, the American Medical Association and the Florida Dental Association.
