Christopher Latham DMD, MD

Christopher Latham, DMD and MD, works as an oral and maxillofacial surgeon with diplomate credentials from ABOMS and fellow standing in AAOMS. After residency he relocated to Florida in 2014. His path started at the University of Florida, where he earned a bachelor's degree and then a DMD from the College of Dentistry. An MD came from the Mayo Clinic Alix School of Medicine, followed by an MPH from the University of South Florida. He completed a six-year residency in oral and maxillofacial surgery at Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota. The program covered dentoalveolar procedures, extraction of wisdom teeth, a full spectrum of implant work, surgical correction of the jaw, sedation in office settings, bone graft placement, treatment of facial injuries, study of oral and facial disease, and TMJ care. He also worked alongside the anesthesia team and clinicians who treat head and neck cancers. In Florida he sits on the Craniofacial Team at Nemours Children's Hospital in Lake Nona and instructs at the UCF College of Medicine. Hospital affiliations are Orlando Health Health Central and Nemours Children's Hospital in Orlando. Professional memberships include AAOMS, ABOMS, FSOMS, SSOMS, the American Dental Association, the American Medical Association, the Florida Dental Association, the Central Florida District Dental Association and the Dental Society of Greater Orlando.
